The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions to the community.

SASSA are going to be rendering solutions for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency explained it is alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a large amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no status sassa completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service level designed for intervention ordeals a superior inflow of potential status sassa beneficiaries, which makes it tough to the office to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more methods to help the servicing of all customers and maximize use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
